“Port Gioia Tauro, Vision 2030”
A study day on the future of Gioia Tauro, as a city with a leading harbor in the mediterranean sea
On December, 14th at 10:30 am, the International Workshop “Port Gioia Tauro, Vision 2030” was held in Catanzaro at the Conference Hall of the Region of Calabria, Department of Planning and Government of the Territory.
Several local authorities and guests attended the workshop, organized by the Consortium in the FISD Erasmus Mundus Master in City Regeneration - reCity EMMC.
During the workshop, students of the Master reCity presented on projects developed in terms of energy and environmental sustainability, mobility, quality of architecture, social integration. After discussion of the proposals, began the panel discussion involving the various stakeholders, highlighting among other things, the need for an integrated intervention of the three municipalities involved: Gioia Tauro, Rosarno and San Ferdinando, the development of infrastructure and connection creation of inter-municipal services in response to the needs of the community overall.
The event was a time of discussion and debate among experts and stakeholders on the future of Port Gioia Tauro.
