Added value compared with existing masters courses

In order to build ReCity’s key success factors, a comprehensive competitor analysis has been undertaken. The analysed competitors include all the Masters in the fields concerned, and other selected post-graduate Masters.
The assessment is based on the in-house knowledge of the industry and the opinion of experts.
  • According with the European Council conclusions on architecture: culture's contribution to sustainable development, that points out that: architecture, as a discipline involving cultural creation and innovation, including a technological component, provides a remarkable illustration of what culture can contribute to sustainable development, in view of its impact on the cultural dimension of towns and cities, as well as on the economy, social cohesion and the environment;
  • According with the Apple Classrooms of Tomorrow-Today (ACOT2) report and the European Commission report on: New Skills for new Jobs: Action now;

Competing Masters course are mainly focused on technical subjects. Overcoming the limits of the over-specialised Masters, reCity is focused on the object: City, with an holistic approach characterised by analysis and comprehension of the intimately interconnected subjects related to the whole city regeneration theme. Therefore reCity course offering covers not only technical subjects, but a right mix of interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and competences in the main related fields.
